 Product Description

I Am A Man black t-shirt  with 1,300 sanitation workers: Working Class Heroes in white.   100% cotton.

On the t-shirt:

“During a Memphis rainstorm in February 1968, two black sanitation workers were crushed to death when the garbage truck on which they were worked malfunctioned.  This tragedy, along with meager wages, horrible working conditions and mounting oppression ignited a strike weeks later for job safety, better wages, benefits and union recognition.  This effort brought Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to Memphis in 1968 on behalf of working heroes.”
